The Veterans Award Luncheon of Recognition (VALOR) is a powerful and inspiring annual event honoring the dedication, leadership, and achievements of Veteran-owned and Veteran-friendly businesses throughout East County and the greater San Diego region.

Created as part of the Veterans East County Alliance (VECA) initiative, VALOR shines a spotlight on the hard work, resilience, and community contributions of our local Veteran business leaders. The event brings together professionals, community members, and supporters for a meaningful afternoon of recognition, gratitude, and connection.

What to Expect:

• Awards honoring outstanding Veteran-owned and Veteran-supporting businesses

• Guest speakers and community leaders

• Networking with fellow professionals and Veteran advocates

• A thoughtful lunch experience in a celebratory atmosphere

• Opportunity drawings and fundraising to support VECA programs

Proceeds from VALOR support:

• VECA’s Military Food Bank

• Workforce seminars and leadership scholarships for Veterans

• Ongoing support and mentorship for Veteran entrepreneurs

Since its launch, VECA has played a vital role in uplifting the local Veteran business community through monthly meetings, strategic support, scholarships, and Chamber grants. VALOR is a continuation of this mission—designed to help Veterans truly “Soar to Succeed.”
