CalChamber Announces Positions on Tax Proposals
San Diego East County Chamber Government and Legislative Affairs Committee Tackles These Issues and More
The California Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently took opposed positions on five proposed ballot measures, three of which are backed by government employee unions that would increase taxes or ease the ability of lawmakers to enact tax increases. In addition, the CalChamber Board of Directors voted to support a proposed measure that would limit the ability of the Legislature to impose taxes disguised as fees on businesses.Want to make a difference and have your say in LOCAL legislative affairs? Attend the Chamber's monthly Government and Legislative Affairs Committee meetings -open to ALL members. Always the 4th Tuesday morning of every month.
Next meeting: January 25, 2010 @ 7:30 in the morning at the Chamber office.
