ABOUT THE CHAMBER
Career Awareness Day
Career Awareness Program is sponsored by the Business
Education Committee of the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce to
introduce 8th grade students to the free enterprise system and the
inter-relationship between and among government, education and the
business community. The students from the five (5) local middle schools
in El Cajon spend the morning at a local business then attend a luncheon
with their hosts. There are approximately 120 students who take part
in this program. Not only are they introduced to the business
community; they are required to write an essay about their experience. |
